Out on the rides, the scooters were enjoyed and safely arrived at the destinations.

Thanks to Richard Kesselus for his work on choosing the roads and places to go.

Anderson Peanut Rounders factory was amazing.

The Highlander Honeys were signing up new members and had a luncheon “ride” arranged for the ladies (and 2 gentlemen) who spent time in downtown Paris after a lunch at Perry’s.

Johnny Pearce showing his trophy. The special trophy brought out a record number

of entries into the show scooters.

100 YEAR CLUB RIDE 2016

As a reminder to all Cushman club members, we will be doing the 100 Year Club ride again this year at the state meet. For those who are not familiar with the 100 Year Club, you too can be a member IF:

  1. You have a 100 percent Cushman scooter, i.e., no Mikuni carbs, no non-Cushman engines, no custom frames, lights, etc. Only those items that came from Cushman Motor Works, or were Cushman accessories available when the scooters were in production. Only one exception: you may have updated tires and rims for safety reasons.
  2. Your age, plus your scooter’s age is equal to, or greater than, 100 years.
  3. You register and pay your $7.00 registration fee at the meet (pays for patches & trophies).

We will all line up according to your combined age, and do a short ride around town to show off our true vintage scooters. You receive a patch and get a chance to win trophies “Unrestored Best of Show”, “Restored Best of Show” and/or “Highest Combined Years”.

This year we will again have a 50/50 Cash Give Away drawing. The drawing will be at the Awards Banquet on Saturday night. You need to be present to win. The Silent Auction will be held again with the donation of your items. When you purchase your tickets place your tickets in the container of the items that you would like to win, which will be located in front of the item. The drawing for the winner of each item will be at the Awards Banquet on Saturday night. This fundraiser was extremely successful last year thanks to member participation and we hope it continues to be. So start thinking now of what you can make and bring to donate for this event!

Highlander Honey Ride and Luncheon

The Highlander Honeys will again have a ride and luncheon for all of the ladies at the State Meet. Saturday, we will leave the Display Building at 12:15. We will have Highlander Honey registration forms for any ladies who are not a member. The yearly dues for the Highlander Honeys Club is $2.00 per year. You do not have to ride a scooter to be a member of the group. We will have a car caravan for non-riders. We want to invite all ladies to come out and join in the fun. As in the past door prize donations for the luncheon are welcomed, but not required.

  1. I can download the dang form just fine. It looks great. It is sitting on my desktop as a PDF.

Just won’t print. I have tried all sorts of tricks and so now I give up :-). I am old enough to know when to throw in the towel!!

I have sent a request to the Love family for a paper form, so all is well.

Really looking forward to the Texas Cushman meet!! Thanks.

So if you did I want you to know that in 2019 The Texas Club will be hosting the CCOA national meet in Paris and we are in need of volunteers to help put on the Best National Meet Ever. So if you will and can help let Don Henry or me know what you can contribute. See you in Snyder Richard Kesselus
