Jennifer Johnson – My Side of the Story

When Raymond and I would attend Cushman events in the decade of the 1990s, we would see this sweet girl with her grandparents.

This is Jennifer Wyatt. Her grandparents, Ben and Gene Sargent, were faithful to include grandchildren in their trips to Cushman meetings.

She and Tyler Johnson married and began their own family. And their own Cushman traditions.

Tyler has restored a Silver Eagle with Ben’s guidance and help. Here is Wyatt showing off his joy of knowing this scooter will provide him and his dad more fun in the coming days and years.

Jennifer has been involved with the Cushman friends all these years. Her college degree in teaching will give her more skills that will make her a Newsletter Editor extroidaire. Jennifer will need your help: to make her a Great Editor, you are asked to send information, calendar events, and news. Use the texascushmaneditor@gmail.com email.

New Texas Editor Announced

IMG_4159
From James Press, President:

Our search for a new Texas Cushman Club Editor is over! The officers and board members have been recruiting for a while now, and I want to announce that Jennifer Johnson has graciously accepted the position as club Editor. I think we can say Jennifer has been a part of the Texas Cushman Club since she was an infant. With Ben and Eugenia Sargent as her grandparents, we can safely say she has been indoctrinated quite well regarding Cushmans and the Texas Cushman Club. She and her husband Tyler are regulars at our state meets and many of our local meets, so she will be an asset to our club. Please join me in thanking Jennifer for her willingness to serve our club in this capacity.

Jimmy Hubbard Wants to RIDE

Jimmy Hubbard lives in Garland and wants to have fellow Cushman riders join him in some rides in March or April or May or whenever you want to ride. He has been riding the local roads and has discovered several FM roads with little traffic. He likes to ride 70-75 miles and has stops figured out.
I have searched the membership list and found members in Terrell, Mesquite, Allen, Plano, and Dallas. As with most of Texas, this does not mean they are close in location.
If you want to connect with Jimmy, please call him at 972-682-3985.

Revisiting a summer project

Tommy Goode and Richard Kesselus spent their time this summer preparing the Pull Sled. There are pictures from the State Meet that show pull games in the rain. Here are some “work in progress” to remind us of their dedication. And maybe make us feel warmer on this cold day in January.

Happy 2016 New Year

The Concho Area club had a great turn-out of 16 people for their New Year’s luncheon. At 40 degrees, there were no riders. This was a time of visiting and enjoying our friends.

There will be a picture added to this WHEN I can get the picture from my new camera to the computer. And now here they are!!!

Happy New Year!
