Dear Sirs:

Several years ago I rescued from a field here in West Texas a late seventies or early eighties, CUSHMAN 3 Wheel Turf Truckster, Model 880718, OMC Model M218 Twin Cylinder Engine, Pickup with 3 Speed Forward & 1 Reverse plus Auxiliary Transmission with Ultra-Low Gear Range for Heavy Duty Applications.
It has Engine Serial Number 53015 on the flat surface of the crankcase below & to the rear of the dipstick opening.
Engine Model Number, Model M218, SPEC NO. 161029 is on the engine name plate on the engine fan housing.
Vehicle Model Number 880718 & Modification #528 is on the left side of the main frame ahead of the rear wheel.
Vehicle Serial Number 248207 is on the left frame member below front of floorboard.
Pictures are available via EMAIL upon request.

#1: With the information I have provided can you determine the year of this Truckster?________________
The original owner did not have a title and he did not remember what year he purchased it except that he bought it new and used it on his ranch.
The original owner has passed away.
#2: I am interested in divesting myself of this Truckster as I have too many other projects ongoing including the following restorations:
A. 1959 Cushman Eagle, Restoration completed.

B. 1980n Vespa P200e, Restoration almost complete.

C. 1954 NSU Lambretta 125 Electric Start, 178 original miles, Restoration starting.

Do you know of anyone that might be interested in purchasing this Truckster for purposes of restoration?

Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you about this.

For Sale – 1963 Cushman Super Silver Eagle with new 23 hp Briggs and Stratton twin cylinder 20 amp Vanguard engine. Built by a true craftsman who has built numerous Cushman’s for Dennis Carpenter and two CCOA national 1st place winners. Steve Lorenz of Arcadia Cushman, who builds beautiful scooters himself, commented on how well this Cushman was done. It was built retaining the oil filter and oil cooler so the engine operates with all components for which it was designed. All parts are new except the frame, 2 speed transmission, and clutch. The frame was blasted down to bare metal, the transmission has all new bearings, seals, and gaskets, and clutch has new bearings and lining. The clutch has 2 pulley/belt system to prevent slippage and save wear and tear on the transmission from over tightening the belts. Clutch cover has been modified to accommodate the 2 pulleys/belts. The rear fender box is designed to come apart in pieces for ease of maintenance such as changing the transmission sprocket and servicing the chain. It has dual exhausts, Mikuni carb, $300 leather seat, and deuce style windshield. The frame and custom tail panel are painted single stage automotive black, while the rest of the sheet metal is painted with flat black epoxy primer so the new owner can paint their choice of color. It has 12 inch spun aluminum wheels, Michelin radial tires, aluminum front and rear hubs. Titled and licensed in Las Cruces, NM 88011. Call or text Jim Harris 575-642-3109, or email $7900.
