2023 March Carmine Ride’s Report

It is a joy to travel to Carmine for the first ride of the season. I can personally count 25 people who attended and we had beautiful weather. This was the 16th Annual Carmine Ride hosted by James and Jane Press.

On Friday, March 9, 10 scooters took off to wander the surrounding area of Carmine.

Larry Freeze, Frank Turbeville,John Allbright, David Pickett, Richard Kesselus, Diane and Richard Simpson, Don Reed, Paul Kruska, Johnny Pearce, James Press, and Martin Stafford.

The ladies had a fantastic tour of the Painted Churches in the area.

The guys saw historical sites also. This is the Independence General Store built in the early 1900s.

Saturday was another busy day.

Board of Directors met at 7:00am to make more plans for the 2023 State Meet in Snyder plus hear the financial report. Your officers look forward to keeping the club continuing.

On the left is Jim Press, James and Jane Press’ son who spent the day driving the chase vehicle. On Friday, Jerry Krenek drove the chase for the ride. Thank you to these who provided and followed the scooters.

Saturday morning after breakfast, 11 scooters took off for a day of riding plus a car show. There were some smiling, satisfied guys when they got back that afternoon.
