Richard Kesselus and Tommy Goode have cancelled the April 11-14, 2024 Central Texas ride that was to be in Bastrop, Tx.
They regret this change. The Board of Directors will be meeting in Carmine March 9 and there may be something new added to our calendar. Watch the Calendar of Events Tab on this website for updates.
Wow! It is hard to believe that it is time for you to begin getting ready for the Big Country Swap Meet! This is now our 12th year!
Be sure to get March 29-30, 2024 on your calendar. It will fall on Good Friday and Saturday, so most will have the Friday off from work. Vendors only can get in to set up after lunch on Thursday the 29thto avoid the rush on Friday morning.
Remember that we will again have the popular “Car Club Package” available- 10 spaces together for only $200! This lets you get together with your club (or even just a group of friends) to swap and sell, letting some of your group sell all your stuff while others get to shop for deals. If you have not already contacted us to renew or grab a new set of spaces, do so quickly to get the best selection of locations.
Regular spaces can be registered for and paid with Paypal directly from the webpage.
Registraton forms are available on our website at www.bigcountryswapmeet.com . We also offer updates and news on our Facebook page, but you must go there and “like” the page to receive them.
Again, we are working hard to continue to make this a great swapmeet, and your attendance and help in getting the word out is invaluable! See you at the Big Country Swap Meet on March 29-30,2024!

Aransas Pass & Corpus Christi Ride, Nov. 16-18, 2023
Thursday, November 16, 2023 we gathered in Aransas Pass for the Early Bird dinner at Mickey D’s (not McDonalds) and enjoyed a variety of seafood selections and hamburgers.
Friday morning we left the hotel parking lot with 14 scooters, a chase vehicle, and 3 car loads of enthusiastic followers for a tour of Aransas Pass and the BIG TREE on Goose Island. We enjoyed lunch at Charlotte Plummers in Fulton Beach and on to the ferry ride over to Port Aransas for ice cream and back to the hotel. John and Barbara Allbright hosted the group at their lovely water-side home for beans and cornbread.
Saturday, November 18, 2023 we left Aransas Pass and rode to Mustang Island; south to Padre Island where we stopped in front of the picturesque submarine for a photo opportunity before heading into Corpus Christi. Along Ocean Drive the City of Corpus had erected US Flags in honor of Veteran’s Day. The breeze made that a beautiful sight.
We continued on Ocean Drive to our lunch destination, the Water Street Oyster Bar, followed by ice cream in Portland before heading back to the hotels. The weather was gorgeous, and we only had to load one scooter all weekend.
SPECIAL THANKS TO: Jerry Krenek and Diana Hybner for driving chase; Don Henry for organizing the ride; Homer Schilling for leading the rides; Mary Kruska for having the “Find Me” app on her phone (and knowing how to use it!); and John and Barbara Allbright for sharing their home and meal with us.

We would like to list my dad’s scooter (Leon Jones) . I’m not sure of the year or model. I would like to sell as a pair for $2,000 or $1,000 each. I could not locate the titles. If you need additional information or additional pictures please contact me (Jerry Jones 817-760-6458).
