The guys loaded up and rode to lunch in Sterling City on Thursday. Then they rode to Robert Lee to eat lunch on Friday.

Texas Tiddlers Ride May 14, 2016

I have added the Texas Tiddler’s Ride to the Calendar of Events and a PDF file icon titled  Tiddlers.jpg will be at the bottom of this post to download for the registration.
In December I received this from Dennis Leggett:
“We are hosting a 200 mile road enduro in East Texas on May 14, 2015. It will be the Texas Tiddler Endurance Run, with two 100 mile sections, one to start at 8:00 am and finish at 12:00 noon, break for lunch, leave at 2:00 pm and finish at 6:00. This is an opportunity for enthusiasts to bring out their little bikes for a fun day in the Piney Woods! There are four classes-Class I is 0-60cc machines, Class II is 61-125cc, Class III is 126-250cc and Class IV is for stock Cushman scooters. Pre 1990 machines can add 2 points for each year before 1990 (ie a 1960 model gets 60 points). Class I bikes leave on the hour (8:00 for the start), Class II & IV on the half hour (8:30), Class III on the second hour (9:00). This gives the smallest bikes 4 hours to complete 100 miles. There may be secret checkpoints and skills and chance contests to make it interesting. The start and finish will be at Boles Field Recreational Area in the Sabine National Forrest near Shelbyville, Texas and the mid point will be at Sawmill Town USA in Newton, Texas. If this is something the Texas Cushman Club would be interested in please let me know. Thanks, Dennis Leggett Texas Cushman #11, Cushman Club of America #77.”
This has been sent by Ross Murphy:
“Here is an event thats coming up here in East Texas in May. There is a special class for stock Cushmans. Dennis Leggett is a member of the Texas Cushman Club and is hosting this event. This is the second year that he had had this. It is a single day ride of about 200 miles. Doug Moore and I rode this last year and it’s a hard day of riding. I would like to see a lot more Cushmans this year. Hopefully if you could put this on the website we could generate more interest. Thanks
Ross”

Jennifer Johnson – My Side of the Story

When Raymond and I would attend Cushman events in the decade of the 1990s, we would see this sweet girl with her grandparents.

This is Jennifer Wyatt. Her grandparents, Ben and Gene Sargent, were faithful to include grandchildren in their trips to Cushman meetings.

She and Tyler Johnson married and began their own family. And their own Cushman traditions.

Tyler has restored a Silver Eagle with Ben’s guidance and help. Here is Wyatt showing off his joy of knowing this scooter will provide him and his dad more fun in the coming days and years.

Jennifer has been involved with the Cushman friends all these years. Her college degree in teaching will give her more skills that will make her a Newsletter Editor extroidaire. Jennifer will need your help: to make her a Great Editor, you are asked to send information, calendar events, and news. Use the texascushmaneditor@gmail.com email.
