Turkey, TX May 2017

This is the entry site of Turkey, TX.
“Ah-Haa” is a sound of pleasure that Bob Wills made popular in his music. Turkey and the area made us want to join him with a big “Ah-Haa”. The weekend went well.
Martin Stafford and Don Henry planned this weekend and rides.
We stayed at Hotel Turkey’s accommodations. Several had rooms in the hotel and the rest used their RV campsites.

9 scooters on the road to Clarendon through the Caprock landscape.

Keith Floyd’s shop in Clarendon. He provided a delightful tour of the Donley County Courthouse, a lunch, and the opportunity to meet his local friends and neighbors.

Water Valley Ride April 2017
Water Valley park was the site for 11 campers for this year’s “Ride to Eat”.
13 Scooters were ready to be ridden on Friday morning. Weather was beautiful and breakfast was just over the Divide. At lease 22 people made the early morning run to the Another Place Cafe in Robert Lee.

Ben Sargent, Richard Kesselus, Chrysti and Raymond Love
Then on Saturday the COLD front hit. 11 tough riders began the ride to Cristoval, Tx to have lunch at Cooper’s Bar-b-que. 11 scooters and we had 32 there for lunch. (You do the math to discover the ones who stayed warm!)

Note the 53 degrees temperature.

It is never a REAL Cushman meet without ice cream. These 2 were our “Scoopermen” of the day.

Ben Sargent and Roy Stanley
Ben Sargent then cooked breakfast for the group on Sunday morning.
It is always a joy to have the group together.
Thanks to Sharon Henderson for the pictures.

Snyder-Here We Come!
In October, the State Meet will be held in Snyder, Tx.
Here’s a billboard with their “Welcome to Snyder” artwork.

For grins, here is a look at the Coliseum today. What’s wrong with this picture?

Dirt floor! There will be a rodeo this weekend. Don’t faint! It will be clean and ready for us in October.
Just start planning for a wonderful time of riding with the Club.
