Dear Sirs:
Several years ago I rescued from a field here in West Texas a late seventies or early eighties, CUSHMAN 3 Wheel Turf Truckster, Model 880718, OMC Model M218 Twin Cylinder Engine, Pickup with 3 Speed Forward & 1 Reverse plus Auxiliary Transmission with Ultra-Low Gear Range for Heavy Duty Applications.
It has Engine Serial Number 53015 on the flat surface of the crankcase below & to the rear of the dipstick opening.
Engine Model Number, Model M218, SPEC NO. 161029 is on the engine name plate on the engine fan housing.
Vehicle Model Number 880718 & Modification #528 is on the left side of the main frame ahead of the rear wheel.
Vehicle Serial Number 248207 is on the left frame member below front of floorboard.
Pictures are available via EMAIL upon request.
#1: With the information I have provided can you determine the year of this Truckster?________________
The original owner did not have a title and he did not remember what year he purchased it except that he bought it new and used it on his ranch.
The original owner has passed away.
#2: I am interested in divesting myself of this Truckster as I have too many other projects ongoing including the following restorations:
Do you know of anyone that might be interested in purchasing this Truckster for purposes of restoration?
Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you about this.
Sincerely,
Sheriff A. D’Wayne Jernigan, Retired, N5UFV

Cushman riders will endure rain, wind and hurricanes to have a goode time!! 12 hearty Cushman enthusiasts made the trek to Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Corpus, Fulton Beach and Rockport for the annual Coastal Ride held Oct 23, 24, 25, 2015. We may not have gotten the bikes out, but we had a great time and ate well! The Intrepid 14 included the following: Larry and Ginger Freeze, Jack and Emma Miller, James and Jane Press, John and Barbara Allbright, Homer Schilling and Herlene, Tommy and Debi Goode, Jerry Krenek and newcomer Glen Cates.
Thanks to Tommy and Debi Goode for article and pictures
As club secretary, I have sent postcards to remind members to pay their annual dues. As you can guess, I have sent some to members who have paid already. Forgive me, but I do enjoy talking with them and correcting my info.
Today I talked with Bill Davis, #25. Yes, I know he has a Lifetime Membership but I had missed getting it marked in my record, so he got a postcard. Sure had a good visit by phone and he and Hazel are doing well. We discussed the Corpus Ride ( where I first meet them) and neither of us made the trip this year. Any way, he and some friends had rode locally on Tuesday.
I am glad to hear from any one. And I will happily correct my mistakes.
