Alpine, Tx was the location of the last 2017 TCC ride. November 8 found several travelers heading to Alpine with the cold northern wind. Richard and Betty Kesselus and Raymond and Chrysti Love parked in the Last Alaskan RV park. Don Henry, B.F. Smith, Pete Henderson, John Allbright, and Ted Grisman used the local hotels for lodging.
Balmorhea was the destination on Thursday.
Friday was the 214 miles to visit Big Bend National Park.
Saturday’s ride was through Ft. Davis and on the 78 mile loop that includes the McDonald Observatory.

We drove back to Ft. Davis for their evening Veteran’s Day program. The Big Bend Community Band presented a concert of patriotic music. During the medley of the Armed Forces Songs, the veterans stood to be recognized. Lieutenant Col Paul Stewart of Ft. Bliss was the keynote speaker.

It was a perfect end to the weekend.
A special thanks to Don Henry for creating the event and leading the rides.

Question: Why are these events out in west Texas ? Just curious.

This is just one of many. A ride went out of Conroe Nov. 4. There was great roads with little traffic around Alpine. Check the events tab for the 2017 rides. The 2018 are being planned now.
