At the 2019 Texas State Meet a total of $2391 was raised and donated to the American Cancer Society. $500 was donated to the building of the new Hope Lodge in Houston in honor of all Texas Cushman Club members who are cancer survivors.

A second paver was purchased via a single donation in memory of Brenda Smith, wife of Lewis Smith.

Each Hope Lodge offers cancer patients a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city.  Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows guests to focus on getting better.  Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment where guest can retreat to private rooms or connect with others.  Every Hope Lodge also offers a variety of resources and information about cancer and how best to fight the disease. There are three Hope Lodges in Texas, Lubbock, Dallas and now, Houston.
