Central Texas Meet, Bastrop Tx May 2022

The FISH FRY DINNER, May 6, 2022

As reported by Debi Goode

                                                Bastrop Ride

One of the best highlights about the Bastrop Mother’s Day Weekend Ride is the FISH FRY DINNER, held at the Kesselus compound. Richard and Betty Kesselus open their home and property to overnighters and dinner guests for some of the best fried catfish and french fries in the area!

Old photo but we need to confirm that JJ Mooney was a faithful helper again in 2022

J.J. Mooney fries up his special “secret recipe” cornmeal-beer-battered onion rings. (Oops! I guess the secret is out!) Guests help round out the dinner fare by bringing coleslaw, fruit and veggie trays and a variety of desserts.

Attending the Fish Fry dinner were John and Barbara Allbright, Twig and Zoe Branch, Larry and Ginger Freeze, Debi Goode, Richard and Betty Kesselus, Alex, Darren and Selvin Kesselus, Jack and Emma Miller, J.J. Mooney, Don Paige and Beth Doan,  Johnny and Joyce Pearce, Gene Perry, James and Jane Press, Richard and Diane Simpson, and          Frank Turbevillle.

Debi writes the best reports! Thank you, Debi Goode

Here are photos from Ginger Freeze and Gene Perry. The ride will be reported in full in the May newsletter. Look forward to “ the rest of the story”
